With the island comes passion. A love for the environment, efforts to protect wildlife, and desire to safely and responsibly work towards opening Burlington Island for enjoyment by the public.  

We have partnered with Spearhead's Project Earth™ a non-profit foundation created by The Spearhead Group with the purpose of giving back to our global community, preserving nature (including our waterways), and helping to educate people about the importance of being good environmental stewards.

 In April 2019, the Burlington City Board of Island Managers collaborated with the City of Burlington and United by Blue for an organized clean-up. Resulting in the removal of 100,000 lbs of debris and heavy metal from the island. The youtube video is very well done! To watch click the link below!

The managers are coming together making only the best decisions for this place that guarantees to leave an impact on you. Working as a united board is important to successfully provide cultural, educational, and recreational experiences on the Island. Working together making goals we will accomplish them.
